This Lovely hand-turned spurtle is in Pear wood. Turned from one piece of locally sourced pear tree that came down in a storm.
The Spurtle is a wooden kitchen tool of Scottish origin used for stirring primarily porridge but can be used for anything hot. The tapering shape means the porridge can be stirred without lumps forming.
This Spurtle is approximately 28cm long and 3cm wide at its widest point and features a handy leather hanging strap. Finished in cold-pressed linseed oil and beeswax.
