Hamilton and Gleave is the creation of David Gleave and Dottie Hamilton, although as Dottie is a Yorkiepoo, most of the work is done by David.
David has a background in graphic design but after 20 years of being sat in front of a computer had a yearning to take his creativity in a more hands-on direction. A love of wood working developed from spending time in the woods whilst walking his dog and soon progressed from making walking sticks, to carving spoons to turning bowls.
From our Berkshire workshop, we produce hand-made wooden objects, mostly from foraged and recycled wood, producing functional and beautiful products from something that often would be discarded. Working in both green wood and salvaged, and recycled timber, we believe all wood is precious and with the right skills can be made into something beautiful.
All our products are hand-made and finished and with the right care should give many years of service and pleasure.
