Beech Spatula #1

£18.00

Beautiful hard carved spalted beech spatula, hand made from locally sourced beech wood from storm damaged trees.

The grain on this spatula is spectacular, the light spalting giving a colour palette of dark browns through to golden highlights. Completely hand made with a variety of hand tools, no two spatulas are exactly the same.

My family and I have been road testing these spatulas for the last few years with great results, they are perfect for stir-frys, fry-ups or omelettes or anything cooked in a frying pan or wok.

Finished in cold pressed linseed oil and beeswax for protection and a silky smooth finish.

These spatulas are around 30cm long.

Care Instructions:
Don't leave it soaking in water or put it in the dishwasher. Wash in warm soapy water and ideally dry it straight away. After a while an application of a food-safe oil (though not Olive oil) would give a new layer of protection. If suitably looked after this spatula should last for many years of service.
